What do I need to include with my application?
You must include the following documentation with your rebate application:
A copy of your most recent natural gas utility bill.
A clear, legible copy of your itemized receipt/invoice showing contractor name, purchase and/or install date, product description, manufacturer, model, quantity and purchase price.
If applicable, AHRI Certificate for qualifying measure purchased. Visit
www.ahridirectory.org
to obtain a copy of the certificate.

Where can I purchase a qualifying product?
You can purchase qualifying products through professional contractors or retailers. Only products that meet the program efficiency guidelines are eligible for rebates. Refer to the
Home Energy Rebate application
for equipment efficiency levels and requirements. Peoples Gas does not endorse any particular manufacturers, products or system designs by offering these programs.

Who is eligible?
Peoples Gas customers on Service Classification 1 are eligible to participate in the Home Energy Rebates portion of the Peoples Gas Natural Gas Savings Program. The Service Classification is listed on the top of each bill.

What products qualify for rebates?
High-efficiency furnaces, boilers, water heaters, air and duct sealing, attic and wall insulation, duct sealing, pipe insulation, smart thermostats and programmable thermostats that meet or exceed efficiency levels and requirements outlined in the Home Energy Rebate Applications qualify for rebates. for a complete listing of qualifying product types, specifications and current rebate amounts.

When do the products need to be purchased?
Products must be purchased and installed between June 1, 2016 and May 31, 2017. All applications must be received within 30 days of installation. Funds are limited, so rebate amounts are subject to change or termination without notice.

Can you recommend a contractor?
Peoples Gas neither endorses nor guarantees specific contractors or their work. To ensure safe and proper installation and to qualify for a rebate, equipment must be installed by a professional contractor in accordance with manufacturer specifications and state and local codes.
Please Note:
Air and duct sealing and attic/wall insulation rebate project installers must be on the
approved weatherization contrator
list.

If I install the equipment myself do I still qualify?
Self-installation is allowed for all rebates except attic insulation and duct sealing. Self-installed products are subject to installation inspection and verification. By applying for rebates through the program, you agree to the potential inspection of your products. Program staff may contact you to schedule the inspection.

I am a landlord. Am I eligible for the rebates?
Yes. Owners of multi-family buildings are encouraged to participate and use the Optional Payment Release to Trade Ally section of the application, which allows the rebate check to be paid to the building owner. See the applications for full details or call 855-849-8928 with any questions.

How long will it take to receive my rebate?
Customers typically receive rebates in six to eight weeks after submitting their application. Please note that incomplete applications can delay payments or result in denial of a rebate.
